As a volunteer member of the Ruawai Volunteer Fire Brigade, you will have the honor of serving your community in emergencies. Additionally, all members work with other highly dedicated volunteers and interact with numerous local, region, and national fire and rescue organizations, including the United Fire Brigades of New Zealand (UFBA). Interested volunteers should bring a passion for the mission and a desire to make a difference. We invite you to join our team.

Firefighter
Firefighter
Firefighters are usually among the first to be dispatched to fire and rescue calls to provide essential emergency aid. The Ruawai Volunteer Fire brigade responds to calls ranging from car accidents to structural fires, routine service calls to major disasters.
Medical First Responder
Medical First Responder
Medical First Responder volunteers provide pre-hospital care to patients experiencing trauma, severe injury, or illness that requires immediate emergency care.
